2008 - 2009 Ski Season Events
October 27 - Snowmaking Began
Cold temperatures come early at at elevations nearly a mile high. Snowshoe
Mountain's snowmakers have started getting
the slopes ready for opening day. The first snowfall - 5 inches -
was on October 28. Check the

26 - Snowshoe Opening Early!
Snowshoe Mountain will be opening this Friday, November 21! Plans are to
open 6 runs and 2 chairlifts. Open trails will be Skidder, Crosscut,
Spruce Glades, Whiffletree, Heisler Way and a portion of Whistlepunk.
The cost of a ticket is just $29... and with all of this snow, that is a
deal! 30" of natural snow has fallen since Saturday, November
15. More snow is on the way!
November 26 to 29 - Thanksgiving Week
Spend the first holiday of the winter season with your family on
Snowshoe Mountain.
Not only will your family be able to enjoy some of the best early
season skiing and riding in the East, you'll also enjoy a host of great
Thanksgiving activities

December 6 & 7 - Subaru Demo Days Weekend
Kick off another great season of skiing and snowboarding with Subaru
Demo Days Weekend at Snowshoe. Not only will you be able to take advantage

December 19 - Silver Creek Slopes Open
Weather permitting, the slopes at the Silver Creek area and the
Tubing Hill at Silver Creek will open for the season on Friday, December
19. On opening day we expect to offer up to six runs and 2 lifts,
plus night skiing and tubing!

Rediscovery
To celebrate its 35th season, Snowshoe will be offering lodging

December 20 - Red Bull Rail Jam
Red Bull will deliver the resort's newest terrain park feature to
Snowshoe Mountain on Saturday, December 20. It's a new hitching-post
wall ride and the blueprints are impressive! To debut the feature, the
resort is throwing down a rail jam to let riders of the East get their
first taste of the new toy!

December 20 - That's It, That's All Movie Premier
Think of a silent movie theatre with people quietly nibbling on
popcorn... now think of the opposite. Yup, that will be the premier of
That's It, That's All! This is Red Bull's newest snowboard film for the
2008.2009 season. You can hoot, holler and scream as you watch a movie
about one of the world's best snowboards - Travis Rice! Admission is
free and expect a great event for all ages

That's It, That's All After Party

Head upstairs to The Connection for our 35 Year Celebration. Listen to

NASTAR Racing Events: Thursday - Sunday
This GS format race for recreational skiers and snowboarders of all ages is offered each Thursday - Sunday during the winter
season on Skipjack trail at
Snowshoe from 1pm - 4pm. Registration takes place in the Shavers Center from 9am - 12pm with an awards presentation immediately following
the race. Cost is is $5 per two runs or $10 for unlimited timed runs. .
