Hiking and Nature Walks

Enjoy a hiking vacation at Snowshoe Mountain and discover all the beauty West Virginia has to offer. Hikers of all skill levels can enjoy pristine waterfalls, beautiful wildflowers, scenic vistas and abundant wildlife. With over 11,000 acres of natural wilderness, hikers are sure to find just what they are looking for when hiking the Allegheny Mountains in West Virginia.

There are four campsites located on the Cheat Mountain Ridge Trail with fantastic views.

Hiking trail maps are available at The Depot, in the Village, and at the Adventure Outpost near the Shavers Center. The Adventure Staff can also give you some tips on the best trails available in the nearby one million acres of the Monongahelia National Forest, which surrounds the resort.
