History

The Silver Creek Area at Snowshoe Mountain has flourished more and more as the years passed. Originally built in 1983, Silver Creek has grown to become one of the best kept secrets in West Virginia tourism. Silver Creek was privately owned from 1983 until 1992 when it was purchased by Snowshoe Mountain Resort. In 1995, the Intrawest Corporation, a world leader in the destination resorts and adventure travel industry, purchased Snowshoe Mountain Resort adding it to its family of prestigious ski resort communities. Copper Mountain, Colorado, Whistler-Blackcomb, British Columbia and Mammoth Mountain, California are just a few of the 'sister' destination resorts in the Intrawest entourage.

Currently, the Lodge at Silver Creek is privately owned and operated by the Silver Creek Home Owners Association Board of Directors. Year by year, since Intrawest's acquisition, Silver Creek has expanded and become more successful for both the guests and homeowners alike.
